At this point you should have working firmware on the board. If you want to load new firmware you will need to follow steps 2-7 again (you cannot use Mission Planner to load firmware). If you are certain that you will never want to load betaflight on the board then you can install the ArduPilot bootloader. The STM32CubeProgrammer will install the required DFU (direct firmware upload) drivers and can be used to flash the firmware to autopilots in DFU mode.

Designed for a single-head 3D printer, many interfaces are reserved for more features. Such as AC detection, filament detection, leveling with BL-touch or other sensors. Most Ender 3s ship with website a customized, outdated Marlin firmware version that lacks thermal runaway protection and other safety features. Unzip the sources and the configuration files to separate folders. In the configuration folder, go to config/examples/Creality/Ender-3 Pro/ (_not_Ender-3 Pro v1.5 – that’s for the 4.2.x board) and copy all of the files there to the Marlin folder of the sources. One of the last ‘free’ upgrades to my 3D printer that I hadn’t done yet was updating the firmware to the latest version of Marlin. Once the folder is opened, you will expand the Marlin folder on the left and side and then double click on the file called “Configuration.h”.

5 pin cable means the cable end connects to the mainboard is a 5 in 1 jack. This cable normally goes to the specific socket on a V4+ mainboard(as shown below).

You typically encounter this type of firmware on flash memory chips. High-level firmware is closer to software than hardware because the code instructions are more complex than low-level firmware. To maintain compatibility with smartphone operating system updates, the firmware on the smart thermostat needs to be updated regularly. When a software update occurs, smartphones usually perform firmware upgrades automatically.
